Wendy’s looking for franchisees in the UK

US fast food chain Wendy’s has lined up a site in Oxford, in line with its current objective to re-enter the UK market (the chain opened restaurants in the UK in the early 90s but had to close them down few years later due to high real estate and operating costs).

The company has already found another site in Reading and it is currently looking for UK-based franchisees. The plan is to enter the English market first with company-owned stores at the beginning of 2021 and to expand  in a second moment through a multi-unit franchisee development plan.

Wendy’s was originally founded in 1969 in Columbus, Ohio (USA). Today it is well know across the world for its square burgers, fresh salad and other signature products such as the Frosty®  desserts.  To know more: https://www.irwendys.com/home/default.aspx
