Rosa’s Thai reports sales growth as OakNorth backs expansion plans

Rosa’s Thai has posted strong trading results for the year ending 30 March 2025, driven by continued customer demand and steady expansion across the UK. The Thai restaurant group reported adjusted EBITDA of £4.5m, while sales increased 7.3% year-on-year to £51.4m. Parent company Spice Holdings said the performance reflected “strong guest demand, continued operational discipline and measured expansion”.

Following the end of the financial year, Rosa’s Thai secured a new £10.75m debt facility from OakNorth to support the company’s ongoing and selective growth plans. Founded in 2008 by husband-and-wife duo Alex and Saiphin Moore, Rosa’s Thai began as a street food stall on London’s Brick Lane before growing into a national casual dining brand. During the 2025 financial year, the company opened six new restaurants, taking its UK estate to 47 sites.

Chief executive Sarah Hills said: “Against the backdrop of a challenging environment for the restaurant market, we are incredibly proud of the progress the business has made, in this financial year and the intervening period since. Our teams have continued to welcome guests with the warm, inviting experiences that Rosa’s is known for, while delivering strong sales growth and expanding our footprint across the UK and internationally.  Extending our presence in the UAE reflects the strength of our brand and the dedication of our people. I would like to thank all our brilliant teams across the businesses – their passion, hard work and commitment to our values are what brings our hospitality to life every day, making our continued success and industry-leading guest scores possible.”
