Mercato Metropolitano to expand in Europe

Mercato Metropolitano is expected to rise up between £3 and £5 million to finance its international expansion. The company is planning to open 3 new sites in the UK: the first in Canary Wharf is planned for beginning 2021 and the second in Elephant and Castle by summer with the third one to open in autumn in Ilford. 

 

By 2025, the company is aiming to open new sites in Atlanta, Boston, Miami, New York, Berlin, Lisbon and Milan. In total, the international expansion is expected to create 2,000 new jobs.

 

 

Mercato Metropolitano

The first Mercato Metropolitano started in 2015 during the World Expo in Milan, in the site of  a disused railway station. Over few months period, the Mercato had more than two million visitors with customer spend over €8 million.
