Bunsik is continuing its UK expansion with the launch of two new locations this May, taking its total number of sites nationwide to 12. The first venue opened on 15 May at 490 Brixton Road, SW9 8EQ, representing the brand’s debut in South London as well as its first franchised site in the capital. The Brixton restaurant is operated by franchise partner CMB Hospitality, headed by Vicente Marti, and reflects Bunsik’s growing focus on franchise driven expansion across London.
A second opening is scheduled for 20 May at The Orient food court within Trafford Centre, one of the UK’s leading retail and entertainment destinations. To support recruitment for the Manchester location, Bunsik partnered with youth employment charity Street League on a dedicated hiring campaign. The initiative resulted in more than 30 interviews and 13 successful hires, with employee training now in progress. The Trafford Centre branch is expected to be the final site managed directly by Maguro Group, as the company shifts future UK growth plans toward a franchise-led model.
