Starbuck sales back in China while still receiving in the US

Starbucks sales in China have improved from minus 10% in July to flat in August. The improvement is due to the reopening of many dine-in stores and a boost in sales from the drive-thru units (which accounts for 60% of the total brand units). 

 

US sales are still under recovery and the brand is planning three main initiatives to support a quick growth: handheld POS at drive-thru, kerbside pick-up, and the new initiative Stars for Everyone for its Rewards members (which allows for any form of payment and not only preloaded cards).
