EG Group acquires the naturally fast food Leon

EG Group has bought the Leon restaurant chain and its 70+ units – 42 equity and the rest franchisees’ operated.

Leon was founded in 2004 by John Vincent, Henry Dimbleby and chef Allegra McEvedy and it is well-known for its naturally-fresh fast food. The EG Group is planning to further develop the brand by opening an average of 20 locations every year starting in 2022.

The move comes as part of EG Group strategy to strengthen its foodservice/non-fuel business – which already includes partner brands such as Starbucks, KFC, Burger King, Greggs, Sbarro, Cinnabon and Subway.
