Tim Hortons to open first store in Malaysia next month

Canadian brand, Tim Hortons, are set to open their first store in Malaysia. The store will be operated by the existing franchise partner of Singapore – Marubeni Growth Capital Asia.

The store is set to be the first of 100 that will be operating by the end of 2025.

The first two stores are set to be in Kuala Lumpur. The new stores will add to the Tim Hortons network of sites, which are closing in on 6,000 globally – with nearly 1000 of these in China (after recent growth in the country).

Tim Hortons has recently entered other markets, including Panama.

Last year, Gordon Ramsay’s Street Pizza brand has made its South East Asia debut with an opening in Kuala Lumpur. This was after Paris Baguette, the bakery cafe brand, opened their first store in Malaysia – operated by Berjaya Food Berhad, an existing Starbucks franchisee.
