Sphera Franchise Group has announced their 2022 end of year results. The company have released, in their preliminary financial report, year on year EBITDA growth of 39.7%. This is driven by a 32.2% increase in restaurant sales, across the year.
Sphera operate KFC in Romania, Moldova and Italy, in addition to Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in Romania. The company announced, at a brand level, the change in ‘Restaurant Sales’, with Taco Bell experiencing the greatest growth.
Sphera Franchise Group are the franchisee for all three brands that are licensed by Yum! Restaurants. In early February 2023, Yum! announced their 2022 reuslts.
Sphera are listed on the Romanian stock market, after their IPO in November 2017, when led by Mark Hilton (who left to join Paul UK). In 2016, Sphera began operating KFC in Italy, Taco Bell entering Romania in 2017. Sphera is currently managed by CEO, Calin Ionescu, who has led the business since Q.2 of 2019.
