Costa Coffee agree master franchise deal for Polish and Latvian markets

Costa Coffee and Lagardère Travel Retail have agreed terms to a master franchise agreement, in which 142 existing stores will transfer to the operator’s control. These existing stores are located across Poland and Latvia, and will add to Lagardère Travel Retail’s portfolio of Costa Coffee units, with 60 stores open in a pre-existing partnership in the Czech Republic.

Lagardère Travel Retail is part of the Lagardère group, founded in 1852. The company operates in 42 countries, with over 5,000 stores in venues such as in airports, railway stations and other concessions. Within their foodservice sector, their partner brands include Pret A Manger, Paul, McDonalds, Burger King and Starbucks.
