Le Pain Quotidien to use franchising strategy for UK expansion

Le Pain Quotidien have partnered with a franchise consultancy firm to develop further across the UK, via a franchise model.

Currently operating 10 equity owned sites in the UK, in addition to over 200 stores across 15 countries, Le Pain Quotidien is looking for extra opportunities to develop, after signing an agreement with retail distributor expert, Taste Shakers, to assist in selling products across supermarket brands, including Tesco and Waitrose.

The Belgian bakery and café chain already use franchising outside of the UK market.

The current approach mirrors Paul UK, with both brands having stores in London and Oxford, and Paul UK commencing franchising in Q4 of 2022.
