RBI acquire Carrols Restaurant Group for $1bn

Restaurant Brands International have bought Carrols Restaurant Group. Purchased at $9.55 per share, totalling approximately $1bn, Restaurant Brands International will acquire all their restaurants: 60 Popeyes and 1,022 Burger Kings.

 

Carrols were Burger King’s largest US franchisee, and the operator generated nearly $1.8bn in sales in their 2023 Financial Year.

 

Carrols Restaurant Group were operating their Burger Kings sites across 23 states.

 

At the end of 2022, McWin Partners, signed a franchise agreement with Burger King, covering Romania. McWin them agreed terms to become the franchise operator for Burger King, in The Czech Republic, and for Popeyes Lousiana Kitchen, in The Czech Republic and Poland.

 

Popeyes have been expanding their UK present over the past few months.
