McWin Partners, an investment fund founded by Henry McGovern (founder of AmRest Holdings SE) and Steven Wineger (founder of Restauravia Grupo Empresarial), have recently signed a franchise agreement with Burger King, covering Romania. This follows the suspension of the development plan AmRest had, at the start of this year, by the US fast-food chain, across 5 different Eastern European countries.
McWin and Burger King had already announced a new master franchise agreement, covering the Polish market, back in September, this year. Burger King Poland have plans to open over 200 restaurants in the coming years.
McWin have three investment funds, which cover Food Tech, Food Ecosystems and Restaurant. The objective of the McWin Restaurant Fund is to invest in major foodservice opportunities across Europe.
