Pret A Manger have a new store opening in North America. The JAB Holdings backed company has have opened in New York, in the Hudson Yards development.
The new store is managed by Dallas Holdings, an existing franchisee for the brand – this opening is the first for the franchise partner in the US, with the other sites currently in the UK. The franchise agreement was signed at the end of 2022, with the aim to develop across New York and California.
With over 60 sites in the US, and over 20% being franchised, Pret is identifying North America as an opportunity for growth.
Other brands are also identifying this opportunity – Paris Baguette continue to grow in Canada, after they debuted in Q1 of 2023, for example.
