Popeyes UK receive Private Equity backing

Popeyes, the fast food chain, has successfully attained investment in order to drive further development of the brand.

 

TDR Capital, the private equity firm, have invested £50m into Popeyes UK, the UK branch of the Restaurant Brands International (RBI) chain.

 

Since entering the UK in Q4 2021, the brand has grown to 27 sites. The brand has been growing both across London and other key UK cities. The UK franchise partner is Ring International Holdings.

 

Popeyes UK are opening a new store in Wales, the second in the country. The store, set to open on 29th August, is a drive-through, on Cardiff Bay Retail Park on Ferry Road.

 

Outside of the UK, RBI have been growing the brand, demonstrated by franchise agreements in other regions – e.g. Kazakstan.
