Private Investment Firm, McWin, have acquired a majority stake in the restaurant chain L’Osteria.
The Italian food brand was founded in 1999. According to L’Osteria’s website there are 151 restaurants across Europe (France, The Netherlands, The UK, Switerland, Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg & The Czech Republic). Since the formation of the company, the brand has been under the same ownership, until McWin’s purchase of shares (The exact % is undisclosed).
In November, last year, McWin became the franchisee of Burger King in Poland & Romania. This was followed, in December, with the announcement that the brand was the new franchisee of Popeyes in the same regions.
McWin have three investment funds, which cover Food Tech, Food Ecosystems and Restaurant. The objective of the McWin Restaurant Fund is to invest in major foodservice opportunities across Europe.
