Jollibee to boost international expansion

Jollibee foods has announced it is boosting its international development following the return of  operating profit to pre-pandemic level with $123 millions reported for 2021.
The group has 14 brands across more than 30 countries and it is planning to open an extra 500 units in 2022 particularly in China, Southeast Asia, Europe and North America – where it already owns the Smashburger and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brands.
International growth has been driven by growing its existing business as well acquiring stakes in new brands such as dim sum chain Tim Ho Wan, the Taiwanese bubble tea chain Milksha in 2021.
