Caffe Nero to finalise Coffe#1 buy

Caffe Nero has bought the remaining 33% of Coffe#1 – following the initial 67% purchase of the brand in  2019 from Welsh Brewery owner SA Brain. The acquisition has been possible thanks to the recent Caffe Nero refinancing completed at the beginning of 2022.
The 100+ Coffe#1 stores are widely spread across Wales, Midlands and Southern England and the brand has shown great growth potential as demonstrated from the positive sales rebound post-pandemic at 104% vs. prior year.
Caffe Nero is planning to operate the brand as standalone and to continue growing the business.
