The Mexican restaurant brand, Zambrero, that has stores across Ireland and The UK, has gained investment from Metric Capital Partners.
The Australian based company has stores around London, in addition to the US and Ireland – those in the UK are in Chelmsford (Essex), Kentish Town, Twickenham, Chelmsford, Crouch End and Loughton (London). The brand is also set to open a new store in Cambridge (Cambridgeshire, UK) this year, after planning permission was granted. Currently, there are 215 stores across Australia and more than 35 internationally.
Metric Capital Partners are investing £141m into the brand. The European private capital fund company have a wide ranging portfolio, that includes brands such as The Haciendas Company (produce and market premium wines, and food products from Spain), Soul Foods Group (the KFC and Burger King, UK based, franchisee) and Dream International (fine dining restaurant group – including the Zuma, Roka, Etaru, Inko Nito and Oblix brands). Metric Capital Partners have taken a minority stake in Zambrero.
