Sphera Franchise Group partner with Rompetrol to open KFC stores in Romanian petrol service stations

Sphera Franchise Group, the operator of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, in Romania, have partnered with Rompetrol, to open KFC units across the petrol/gas stations, across Romania’s A1 highway.

Two new drive-thrus have opened (KFC DT Pecica and KFC Orastie), whilst a new store is expected in Giarmata, all within Rompetrol sites.

Sphera Franchise Group announced these new openings via the Bucharest Stock Exchange, due to being a publicly listed company. Within this announcement, they stated these new drive-thrus are the 96th and 97th restaurants in the KFC Romania network and are also the first KFC units opened within gas stations.

Sphera announced their 2022 results last month.

Yum Brands, who are the franchisor of KFC, also announced their 2022 results in February.
