Pizza Hut CVA approved with 29 confirmed closures

Pizza Hut’s UK dine-in franchise business is to close 29 restaurants, putting 450 jobs at risk, after its Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) was approved by creditors this afternoon (28 September).

 

The UK franchise business has around 215 restaurants, with 5,000 jobs preserved. The company has faced significant economic disruption due to the Covid lockdown and – despite the  reopening – sales are not expected to fully recover before 2021.
