Last week, KFC opened their 18th store in Greece. Located in Nea Filadelfeia, Athens, the store is close to the AEK football team’s stadium.
KFC Greece is operated by Food Plus S.A., who were founded over 30 years ago – in 1989. They started by becoming a franchisee of Pizza Hut, and then in 1997 opened their first KFC. Food Plus’ parent company own other brands in Greece, including Intercontinental and Yes Hotels.
The majority of KFC stores in Greece are located in Athens.
In December 2023, AmRest Restaurants opened four new KFCs in Poland, over the past two days – the newest stores were in Brzesko, Bochnia, on the S3 MOP at Polkowice and on the S7 MOP at Potok Mały.
In December 2022, TASTRA (part of Aptha Corporation), the KFC franchise operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, opened their second store in the country. The store is a drive-thru outlet, which the KFC Bosnia and Herzegovina Instagram page have declared as the largest in South-East Europe.
