There are some new appointments in the F&B industry:

 

Ole & Steen

Joachim Knudsen has been appointed Ole & Steen CEO. The bakery chain announced, at the start of November, appointed a new MD for their UK business and announced that their Group CEO was leaving, with Jesper Mark Dixen, the group’s Chief Commercial Officer acting as Interim Group CEO.

 

Knudsen has previously been MD of McDoanld’s Denmark and Sweden, and will be starting at Ole & Steen on 1st January 2024.

 

Burger King UK

Burger King UK have appointed Lance Batchelor as Chairman of the board. Batchelor, who is replacing Martin Robinson has who has previously been CEO of Tesco Mobile, Domino’s Pizza Group and Saga, will be joining the board on 1st December.

 

Marstons

Marstons, the pub group, have made an announcement about their board. Matthew Roberts has been an NED since 2017, and will retire from the Board with effect from 23 January 2024. Rachel Osborne will be replacing Roberts. Osborne has been CEO of Ted Baker and is currently a NEDat Ocado Group plc.

 

Marstons announced, at this time last year, that they were close to their 2019 trading performance, after recovering from the impact of Covid.

 

Some previous Senior Executive appointments in the F&B Industry, include Loungers, KFC and Domino’s.
