Fogo de Chão, the Brazilian restaurant brand, has signed a franchise agreement with Eljuri Group, to expand the brand into Ecuador.
The franchise agreement commits Eljuri Group to open 3 restaurants across the country – the first is set to be at the JW Marriott, in Quito (opening mid-2023). Eljuri Group manage a range of hospitality, automotive and retail franchises, across North America, South America and Europe. In 2013, Eljuri Group announced they had signed a franchise agreement to open 20 Wendy’s restaurants across Ecuador.
The original Fogo de Chão was based in Porto Alegre, in 1979. The brand expanded into São Paulo in 1987, and then into the USA in 1997.
Fogo de Chão have recently announced plans to expand the brand into Bolivia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Canada and the Philippines. There is currently a presence in Brazil, Mexico, The USA & Puerto Rico and The Middle East.
