Americana Restaurants ended 2023 with 300 restaurant openings. The food & beverage brand operator had a third year of opening their largest number of stores – they have now opened 680 stores since January 2021.
Americana, based in Kuwait, stated they had a 1.5% increase in sales in 2023 – revenue reached $2.4bn.
The operator finished 2023 with 2,435 stores – a net increase of 252 over the year. A significant number of the new stores were the roll-out of the coffee brand, Peet’s Coffee. The first Peet’s Coffee opened in the Middle East in January 2023 and in August 2023 the brand debuted in Saudi Arabia.
Americana manage 11 brands, the main of these being KFC, Hardee’s, Pizza Hut and TGI Fridays – 41% of the 2,435 are KFCs.
