Domino’s Pizza Group have acquired the remaining shares of the largest franchise of the brand on the island of Ireland. The £62m deal will see the 85% of Shorecal Limited, that wasn’t already owned by DPG, become the full and sole owner of the 34 stores.
Shorecal is the largest franchise partner of DPG across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland – there are 99 stores across the island.
The announcement came during Dominos’ released frinancial results for 2023, where the company posted an 11.1% increase in revenue vs 2022.
Across the UK&I, Dominos are planning to open over 70 new stores in 2024 and reach 1,600 sites by 2028.
We shared news in November 2023 that Domino’s Pizza UK & Ireland had opened 50 stores in 2023, having opened four stores in Belfast – Racz Group (1 store) and Sarcon & Karshan Groups (3 stores) are the franchisees of the four sites. The stores were in Newtonabbey, Dunmurry, Ballyhackamore and Holywood.
