Greggs, the UK based food-to-go brand, have announced their Q4 Trading Update. Key updates include:
- Financial year 2023 saw total sales at £1,809 million (up 19.6% from 2022 – £1,513 million)
- The company-managed shops saw like-for-like sales up 13.7%
- Greggs opened a company record 220 new shops across the year, closing out 2023 with 2,473 sites.
- Building on the existing Just Eat partnership, Greggs have now expanded the Uber Eats partnership to 710 shops, enhancing delivery opportunities nationally.
- Of the 2,473 shops trading at the end of December 2023, 503 of the stores were franchise operated.
Greggs opened their 500th franchised store in the middle of December – meaning a further 3 franchise store openings across the second half of the month.
