Yum! share Q3 2023 results with 6% same-store growth

Yum! Brands, earlier this week, reported their third quarter results that stated their global sales grew 10%. The restaurant operator, that owns the brands Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell, saw a 6% same-store sales growth.

 

Within the results, Yum! share a breakdown of sales, based on the operating region – China provide 25% of KFC sales, the US share 15%, Europe have 12% whilst the UK provide 7%. The region “Middle East / Turkey / North Africa” had the highest Quarter and Year-To-Date sales growth.

 

Across the past quarter, Yum! saw their restaurant count increase by 6% – driven by 1,130 gross new units, a Q3 record. This store expansion has continued into Q4, with some examples shared earlier this month.

 

Since the results were shared (3 days ago), the share price has risen by 4.98%.

 

In Yum!’s 2022 End of Year results, the group announced record store openings. Following the Yum! results, franchisees shared these, including AmRest.
