Hero Brands, the owner of Island Poké, Choppaluna and German Doner Kebab, have appointed a new franchise director. Nil Naik has worked in franchising sales and operations for over 20 years, with brands including Coffee Republic, Domino’s Pizza and Papa John’s.
Island Poké, which is also backed by White Rabbit Projects, are planning for a new store opening, in London, at the beginning of March. The company will open at 174 Portobello Road and it will be operated by the brand’s largest franchise partner.
White Rabbit Projects specialise in identifying, funding and growing best-in-class hospitality businesses. The restaurant incubator, in November, secured a multi-million pound investment from McWin, the Private Investment company that own multiple franchise rights for Burger King and Popeyes across Europe and has invested into Gail’s.
This development for Island Poke follows Nicolas Barnoin being appointed as managing director of Island Poké, back in October 2022.
