Caffè Nero and Deliveroo partner

 

Caffè Nero have reached an agreement with Deliveroo, allowing the coffee chain to feature on the aggregator’s platform, enabling their food and drinks to be available for delivery from 400 UK stores. This provides customers a new method of experiencing Caffè Nero products at home, after the company started offering their Coffee at Home products on Amazon, in 2021, and a partnership with Just Eat in May, this year.

Just Eat sells stake in iFood

 

Just Eat have sold their 33% stake in the delivery platform, iFood, that operates in the Brazilian and Colombian markets. MIH Movile Holdings B.V. have acquired this portion of iFood, from Just Eat, for €1.5 billion. The Dutch based food delivery aggregator stated in their announcement, to their investors, that they were selling iFood to improve the company’s profitability, as well as enhancing the strength of the balance sheet.

Uber Eats and Zapp partner in London

 

Uber Eats have partnered with Zapp, the on-demand convenience app. This collaboration will provide Londoners access to the thousands of products that Zapp offer. Zapp are one of the few 24/7 convenience retailers and claim to be able to deliver products to customers within as little as 20 minutes.

Deliveroo quit Australia

 

Deliveroo are leaving the Australian market, due to challenging economic conditions. The company has faced a number of challenges since they entered Australia in 2015 – from challenging competitors like Uber Eats and Menulog, to the Australian government applying pressure on the company to improve working conditions for the gig workers they employ.
