First Itsu opens in France; owned by Group Bertrand

The Asian food chain, Itsu, has entered the French market for the first time – the first store opened earlier this week, in Paris. Over the next 5 years, there are intentions to open 50 new stores.

In June 2022, Groupe Bertrand signed a master franchise agreement with Itsu restaurants, covering France. Groupe Bertrand, founded in 1994, is a restaurant group that manage brands including Burger King and Lipp.

There are now nine franchised stores across the UK and Europe – the new franchised store, in the French capital, joins the Itsu in Brussels Airport, as currently the only international outlets.
