Dunkin’ Brands going private

Dunkin Brands – the parent company of Dunkin’ and Baskin Robbins – is in discussion to go private and be sold to Inspire Brands – a company backed by the private equity firm Roark Capital and  which already has Arby’s, Buffalo Wings, Sonic and Jimmy John’s brands.

The deal is still under discussion but according to people close to the negotiations Dunkin’ Brands valuation would be of about $8.8. billion with a price of $106.50 a share. The brand has suffered during the pandemic lockdown but business has been improving recently thanks to boosting drive-through sales and effective online ordering systems.
