Costa Coffee open first store within UK supermarket chain Sainsbury’s

Costa Coffee, the UK based cafe and coffee shop, have expanded their partnership with Sainsbury’s. The expansion will see Costa Coffee open stores in 11 supermarkets across the UK.

 

With an opening on 15th February 2024, the partnership has already kicked off. The first store is based in Portsmouth, in the Farlington supermarket.

 

The Coca Cola owned brand already have self-serve coffee machines within Sainsbury’s supermarkets.

 

Earlier this month, Costa Coffee debuted in Belgium. The new store, located at Liège-Guillemins Station, is operated by the franchise partner Lagardère Travel Retail.

 

At the end of 2023, Costa Coffee opened a new store in Morocco – the new store was the first Costa Coffee located within the country’s railway network.

 

Costa Coffee appointmented Philippe Schaille as their new CEO in April 2023.
