As published in May, this year, Chipotle are set to open a new store in Dulwich, London. Located on Lordship Lane, the new store is located near a Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Gail’s, Soderberg and Joe & The Juice.
Chipotle, at the end of 2022, outlined plans to open between 250 and 285 restaurants across 2023. This forecast was re-affirmed at the end of April, with an on-track status.
By the end of June, 2023, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. has near to 3,250 restaurants across its 5 operated regions – the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. The majority of Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants are company owned and operated, however a small percentage are run by the brand’s franchise partners.
The brand have also announced a new addition to its board of directors – Laura Fuentes. Fuentes is the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc., a role she’s held since 2020.
Chipotle Mexican Grill has had their share price increase by over 300% over the past 5 years.
