Black Sheep Coffee accelerates Scotland growth with 10+ new locations

Black Sheep Coffee is continuing to grow across Scotland, with plans to launch more than 10 new stores this year, taking its total number of locations to over 21. The expansion is expected to support significant job creation, with around 300 roles across Scotland, 94 in corporate positions and 205 through franchise partners and additional opportunities likely as new sites open. Already established in cities like Glasgow and Edinburgh, the brand is now branching out into new areas including Ayr, Glenrothes, Stirling, Clydebank, and Inverness.

 

Black Sheep Coffee’s approach to growth centres on franchising, allowing local operators to shape each store rather than following a uniform, centralised design. This has led to some distinctive developments, such as the transformation of a long-vacant former Odeon cinema on Renfield Street in Glasgow, and the redevelopment of a disused Royal Bank of Scotland site in Edinburgh’s Bruntsfield. Some locations are already performing strongly. At Silverburn, the chain ranks among the top five food and beverage retailers in the shopping centre
