Cotti Coffee, China’s second-largest coffee chain, has continued its UK rollout with the opening of two additional locations in London. The brand which entered the UK market in February with a double opening, has now opened sites at 99 Gresham Street and at 72 Cheapside, taking over a former Pret A Manger unit.
The company’s expansion is set to continue, with plans progressing on a new site in Strutton Ground, south-west London, in a unit previously occupied by Crussh. It is also understood that the business is in discussions over potential locations in both Birmingham and Manchester.
Cotti Coffee’s initial UK debut earlier this year saw openings at 131 Middlesex Street in the City and 183 Camden High Street. Globally, the brand operates more than 18,000 stores, positioning it as the third-largest coffee chain in the world.
The company, which operates on a fully franchised model, has also been growing its footprint across Europe. Earlier this year, it launched in several key markets, including France, with a site in Paris; Germany, with locations in Hamburg, Cologne and Düsseldorf; and Spain, with openings in Barcelona and Madrid. Further European expansion is planned, with Italy, Portugal and the Netherlands among its next target markets.
