Carl’s Jr. are planning to enter the UK and ROI Market. CKE Restaurants Holdings, the owner of the Carl’s Jr. brand, have signed a ‘Master Licence Agreement’ with Boparan Restaurant Group.
Boparan Restaurant Group operate an array of brands, in the UK, including Slim Chickens, Carluccios, Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Giraffe.
Carl’s Jr. currently have over 100 restaurants in Europe, with the UK and Irish markets seen as a key opportunity to grow the brand further.
Carl’s Jr. announced their intentions to enter the UK market back in October 2021.
In November 2022, Spycher Burger Gang AG and CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. partnered, enabling the brand to enter and grow in Switzerland. They then opened their first restaurant in December 2023.
Mexico and Spain have also seen new store openings in recent months.
