Across Australia, a number of large Food & Beverage brands have seen recent store openings:
Carl’s Jr.
The US burger restaurant brand have opened their 43rd store in Australia. Located in at 178-180 Midland, Epsom, just north of Bendigo, is operated by the master franchisee for Australia. In 2021, Carl’s Jr.’s parent company, CKE Restaurants Holdings, signed an agreement with CJ’s QSR Franchise Group. On the franchise partners website, they list that they operate 23 stores (with 4 “Opening Soon”).
The brand has been expanding in Spain, with recent openings.

Zambrero
Australia’s largest Mexican QSR brand have opened a new store in King’s Cross, Sydney. Now with over 220 stores in Australia and over 250 across the globe, the newest site means that the brand has 14 sites across the Sydney metro.
Zambrero, earlier this year received investment from Metric Capital Partners.
Ferguson Plarre
The bakery chain, Ferguson Plarre have opened a new store in Kalkallo. located north of Melbourne, the newest store is the 75th bakery for the brand. The franchise operator is a new franchisee for the brand.
The brand is targeting 100 stores and are pleased with the performance of the first and only drive-thru, viewing this as a store format that can be replicated again.
