Tortilla buys competitor Chilango for £2.75 million

UK fast-casual Mexican brand Tortilla has acquired competitor Chilango Limited for the the sum of £2.75 million from RDCP Group Ltd.
The deal will allow Tortilla group to strengthen its position in central London market with six out of the eight Chilango units purchased located in zone 1; it also boosts the already ambitious  development plan to open more than 40 sites across the UK in the next five years.
Because of similar products offered by the two brands, Tortilla expects synergy opportunities coming from the acquisition such as sharing the central production kitchen in Tottenham Hale.
