Panera Brands (owners of Panera Bread, Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bros) have appointed a new Chief Financial Officer.
Paul Carbone, who has previously been CFO at SharkNinja and Dunkin’ Brands, was named CFO of Panera Brands at the end of August 2023. This follows the brands continued exploration of an IPO and the appointment of Jose Alberto Duenas as CEO, in May 2023.
Earlier this summer, the Panera Bread franchisee, Hamra Enterprises acquired 24 US based stores from CSC Investments – Hamra Enterprises now operates 90 Panera stores. The acquired sites are in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Tennessee. Hamra Enterprises also operate Noodles & Company and Wendy’s in the US. In Q2 2023, they also signed a franchise agreement with Caribou Coffee, one of the brands operated by Panera Brands.
