The restaurant operator, Kusto Group, have announced they plan to open new Wendy’s stores in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Kusto Group, based in Singapore, plan to open 55 new stores across the two Central Asian countries before the end of the decade.
The operator has stated they aim to open an AI powered drive-through store in Kazakhstan, which they plan to open by the end of 2024 H1.
On Kusto Group’s website, they state: “Kusto Group is a diversified industrial holding company headquartered in Singapore. The group’s values are defined by our communal spirit and outward-looking ethos. With an international team, we draw on global perspectives and take pride in our origins in Kazakhstan.”
In 2021, the franchise agreement for Wendy’s Central Asia was signed – Kusto Group, in partnership with Wissol Group, opened their first Wendy’s restaurants in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Flynn Restaurant Group have become the master franchisee for Wendy’s, in Australia. The Wendy’s Company have signed the agreement with the restaurant operator, with plans to develop 200 sites over the next 10 years.
