The restaurant brands owned by Yum! have continued to see new openings across the globe.
Yum! Brands announced in their 2022 End of Year results (back in Feb 2023) that they opened a record 4,560 gross units during the year. (This equates to over 12 new stores a day).
Some recent new store openings include:
Taco Bell – Wigan (UK)
QFM Group, the KFC, Costa Coffee and Taco Bell franchisee, have opened their 28th Taco Bell. The new store, located in Wigan, UK, opened on 28/09/23 and is based in the Robin Park site.
Present of all major delivery platforms, the new store is the 133rd Taco Bell in the UK – meaning QFM Group operate over 20% of Taco Bell restaurants in the UK.
KFC – Craiova (Romania)
Sphera Franchise Group, the Bucharest Stock Exchange listed company that are the largest restaurant group in Romania, have opened a KFC in Craiova.
Located within the Promenada Mall, the new store required a €500,000 investment and is part of the company’s strategy to expand further across Romania. The new KFC is on the ground floor and will have drive thru capabilities.
The Promenada Mall is also expecting a new Burger King restaurant.
Pizza Hut – Mumbai-Pune (India)
Sapphire Foods India Limited, founded in 2015, have grown to over 700 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants across India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
The restaurant operator have just opened, this week, a new store on the Mumbai-Pune Highway.
