Pret is raising UK staff pay

Pret A Manger announces it will invest more than $12M towards UK staff pay. It is the second raise the brand has given in the last year: in September 2021, Pret increased by 5% the store staff pay.
The announcement comes in a moment of serious staff shortages in the UK hospitality industry as a result of the pandemic as well as the exacerbation of post-Brexit immigration rules.
