Popeyes to enter the UK market by the end of 2021

Popeyes, the US quick service restaurant brand well-known for its fried chicken, has announced its plan to enter the UK market by the end of 2021 and open 350 new units in the next 10 years.  

 

Development in the UK market will be carried out through an agreement between PLK Europe GmbH – a subsidiary of Restaurant Brands International Inc. (“RBI”) – Ring International Holdings (”RIH”)– an Austrian-based, family-owned international conglomerate – and hospitality-industry veteran Elias Diaz Sese.

 

The announcement follows the brand ambitious expansion plan for Europe where it has  already successfully opened in Spain in 2019 and Switzerland in 2020.
