Popeyes to open its first restaurant in Scotland

The US fried-chicken fast food brand Popeyes is planning to open its first unit in Glasgow, Scotland after an official application has been submitted to the city hall to reconvert a Pound Shop into a restaurant.
Popeyes has recently entered the UK market at the end of 2021 with its first opening at the Westfield Stratford. After entering the Spanish and Swiss markets over the past two years, the brand sees the UK as its “next big opportunity” for growth and it is planning to open more than 300 units in  the next ten years.
