Costa Coffee launch in 33rd market

Costa Coffee have opened a new store in Tashkent, the brand’s debut in Uzbekistan.

The new store means the brand is now present in 33 different global markets, following the recent expansion into Azerbaijan, earlier in the year.

The franchisee operating the brand in Uzbekistan is International Food Chain LLC, who already have experience managing international brands in the country – in 2018 the operator opened the first outlet of KFC in Uzbekistan, after becoming the regional franchise for the Yum! owned brand.

The new store is located on Mahatma Gandhi Street, near Eco Park, a tourist attraction within Tashkent.

It has been reported that other brands are planning to enter Uzbekistan, with Subway and a Cinnabon preparing to debut in Tashkent.

Over the past year, we have shared Costa Coffee news on: Austria market entry, Poland and Latvia master franchise agreement, and a franchise partner in India reaching 100 stores.
